Viking Thor's hammer.
After years of searching for a genuine Thor's hammer, I think I finally succeeded..
Why outspoken 'genuine' ? Because, viking Thor's hammers and viking golden rings are the two items most duplicated in modern times and sold for 'genuine'. Especially on a site like Ebay.. so be utmost careful out there !
I do not know where this Thor's hammer was found, but it comes from a German collection.
More about the Thor's hammer here.
An extremely wise viking smith foresaw us, unworthy people in modern times, deliberating for ages if this iindeed is a hammer (sigh...) .. well .. is the pope catholic ? Maybe we must mark our modern hammers this way also.. one can never know.. ;) Of course there is a danger.. that in the year 3000 A.D. deo volente we call this a Thor's hammer...
Up for your consideration and comments ;)
